Red Bull has officially unveiled the final design of its first-ever hypercar, the RB17, marking a major milestone for the company beyond Formula 1. The track-focused machine is scheduled to enter production next spring, bringing Red Bull’s racing expertise into the hypercar world.
Although Adrian Newey has since moved on to Aston Martin, his influence on the RB17 remains clear. The legendary designer played a key role during the car’s development phase and has continued to offer guidance from a distance, remaining in regular contact with Red Bull Advanced Technologies.
Newey was deeply involved in shaping the concept when the project first began, ensuring the RB17 reflected Red Bull’s performance-driven philosophy. His technical vision helped lay the foundations for a car designed to deliver extreme speed and precision on the track.
The RB17’s name carries special significance, fitting neatly into Red Bull Racing’s F1 lineage between the RB16B and RB18 challengers from the 2021 and 2022 seasons. This connection underlines how closely the hypercar is linked to the team’s Formula 1 heritage.
Developed in collaboration with Red Bull Advanced Technologies, the RB17 represents a fusion of cutting-edge engineering and motorsport DNA. As the final design is revealed, anticipation continues to build ahead of its production debut next year.
