F1 driver Liam Lawson has taken advantage of the off-season to train on a motocross track, riding a Red Bull-branded GasGas bike. The winter session is part of his preparation ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 season.
Lawson began the 2025 season with Red Bull, but after a difficult start, he was moved to the Racing Bulls team. Despite the early setbacks, he showed resilience and determination to regain some form over the latter part of the year.
In the final four races of 2025, Lawson managed to score points twice, demonstrating flashes of the performance that initially earned him his Red Bull seat. These results helped rebuild his confidence ahead of the upcoming season.
However, Lawson’s season was overshadowed by his rookie teammate, Isack Hadjar, who outperformed him overall. Hadjar’s strong showing meant Lawson faced added pressure as he prepares to tackle the challenges of 2026.
Looking ahead, Lawson will now focus on regaining momentum and refining his skills, both on the F1 track and through alternative training like motocross, as he aims to make a stronger impression next season.
