
The FIA Karting Awards in Paris celebrated an extraordinary 2025 season, bringing together the champions, standout competitors, and winners from around the globe. The event, held at Place Vendôme, marked a landmark moment for the sport as it honored not only the established stars but also the first-ever winners of the FIA Karting Arrive and Drive World Cup.
The year was notable for significant growth, with FIA Karting recording a 25% increase in driver entries compared to 2024. A total of 1,217 drivers from 86 different nationalities participated, reflecting the success of the FIA’s Global Karting Plan and the ongoing efforts of FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem to expand the sport and strengthen its grassroots base.
Team performances were also celebrated, with Prema Racing, Sodikart, CPB Sport, and Maranello Kart taking home championship trophies. These teams delivered an action-packed season across the FIA Karting World Championships and Cups, demonstrating skill, strategy, and consistency on the track.
Individual honors highlighted emerging talents in the sport. James Anagnostiadis, competing in the OK category, earned FIA Karting Rookie of the Year after a standout season that included pole position in the Mondokart.com World Championship final and a strong fourth-place finish. His performance marked him as one of the drivers to watch in 2026.
The FIA European Championships and the expanded FIA Karting Academy Trophy also showcased rising stars. Oiva Vettenranta won the junior category after a thrilling final lap in Cremona, while Yuzuki Sato dominated the senior category in Rødby, finishing 31 points clear of the competition. These results underline FIA Karting’s role in nurturing the next generation of motor racing talent.
