Damon Hill has tipped Lando Norris to become one of Formula 1’s dominant figures, predicting the McLaren driver could go on to win “three or four” additional World Championships. The 1996 world champion delivered his verdict after Norris clinched his first title in 2025.
Norris’ breakthrough season saw him edge out Max Verstappen by just two points in a dramatic championship finale, underlining how closely fought the title battle was. The achievement placed Norris among an elite group of only 34 drivers to have won the F1 world crown.
Hill believes that this success could be the beginning of a sustained period at the top for Norris, rather than a one-off triumph. In his view, Norris has shown the consistency, speed, and mental strength required to repeatedly challenge for championships.
As Formula 1 emerges from its winter break, discussion has already turned to who will lead the title fight in the coming season. As the reigning champion, Norris is naturally expected to be at the center of those conversations.
