
Sony has officially unveiled the first images from The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, an ambitious new project that brings the legendary band to the big screen. The films star Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson, Barry Keoghan, and Joseph Quinn as the four members of The Beatles.Directed by Academy Award–winning filmmaker Sam Mendes, the project is made up of four interconnected movies, each told from the perspective of a different band member. The films are currently in production in the UK.The first-look images show Mescal portraying Paul McCartney, Dickinson as John Lennon, Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Quinn as George Harrison. Rather than a traditional online reveal, the images were initially displayed as postcards around the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, paying tribute to the band’s hometown.The release strategy reflects the scale of the project, which aims to offer a deeper and more personal look at the lives of the Fab Four. Together, the four films will form a single cinematic event set to arrive in theaters worldwide.The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event is scheduled for release in April 2028. The project is produced by Sam Mendes alongside Pippa Harris, Julie Pastor, and Alexandra Derbyshire for Neal Street Productions, in collaboration with Apple Corps and Sony Pictures.
