Adrian Newey’s legendary RB17 hypercar has reached its final design, marking the latest evolution of the project he began while at Red Bull. Although Newey moved to Aston Martin last year, he continues to monitor the progress of his ultimate track-focused V10 machine from afar.
The updated RB17, now dubbed version 2.0, features several striking design tweaks. Among the most noticeable are the hockey-stick-shaped LED front lights, giving the car a more expressive and aggressive “face” on the track.
Aerodynamics have also been refined, with more intricately shaped cooling vents to optimize airflow and enhance performance. These changes are not just cosmetic but aim to improve downforce and handling at extreme speeds.
The engine cover has been dramatically reworked, now sporting a large, sailfish-inspired fin that accentuates the car’s futuristic look while contributing to stability at high velocity. Every element reflects a careful balance of style and function.
Even from a distance, Newey’s influence is evident in the RB17’s daring aesthetics and engineering. The hypercar promises to be a bold statement in Red Bull’s performance portfolio, combining cutting-edge design with the raw power of a V10 engine.
