Carlos Sainz has brushed aside talk that Ferrari is struggling without him, offering a calm and diplomatic response to the circulating claims. The Spaniard made it clear he isn’t in a position to judge what’s happening inside the team since his departure.
Speaking to Marca, Sainz explained that he no longer has insight into Ferrari’s internal workings now that he is part of Williams Racing. For that reason, he said questions about whether Ferrari misses him should be directed to those still within the team.
Sainz emphasized that he cannot comment on the team’s current professional atmosphere, nor on whether his absence has had any effect. His stance remained firm: once he left Maranello, he stepped away from its day-to-day operations entirely.
Despite maintaining neutrality, the four-time race winner shared that he hopes his time at Ferrari left a meaningful and positive impact. He believes his contributions over four seasons were valuable both to the team and its supporters.
Ultimately, Sainz chose not to fuel speculation, keeping the focus on his new chapter with Williams while wishing only good things for his former team.
